While on military assignment to Japan, I decided to finish college. Not realizing I could still do an art field, I decided to try Ikenobo Ikebana and was hooked, as it’s a great art form. I became a teacher before I transferred to the Philippines and was the first teacher of ikenobo in Cebu.  I taught 3 yrs. then transferred back to Japan at my request so I could finish and become a Professor. I taught 4 years in Japan  and subsequently I returned to the US  where I have been teaching through out the US.
